During their years in the White House, the Obama family number one vacation spot was Martha’s Vineyard.
And now, it appears they want to make that vacation spot a permanent residence, looking to purchase an estate owned by former President Obama’s Ambassador to Japan, Caroline Kennedy, which she inherited from her mother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
However, going through with this transaction would leave a massive stain on his climate change legacy — which he calls the world’s “greatest” threat — as it’s completely irrational for someone who believes the sea-level is “drastically rising” to buy beachfront property.
That’s like someone saying ISIS is the world’s greatest threat, yet they move to Syria.
At the 2014 United Nations Climate Summit on Tuesday, President Barack Obama offered a stunning — and deeply disturbing — insight into his views on threats to the United States and the American people.
“For all the immediate challenges that we gather to address this week — terrorism, instability, inequality, disease — there’s one issue that will define the contours of this century more dramatically than any other, and that is the urgent and growing threat of a changing climate.”
The Daily Mail gives a bit more insight to the property itself:
“The waterfront properties, part of the Red Gate Farm estate, were put on the market several months ago and are going for $12 million and $15 million a pop.
“The real estate listings state that the cheaper of the two if located off of Squibnocket Pond on the westernmost part of the island and boasts beach access and views of the Atlantic Ocean.
“The more expensive and more expansive piece of property is located on the Atlantic Ocean.”
The steep property values of these locations bring up one quote that says it all.
Harry S. Truman: “You can’t get rich in politics unless you’re a crook.”
SHARE on Facebook and Twitter if you agree that Obama would be a massive hypocrite for buying this property.
