A Colts fan and veteran has had enough.
On Monday, during a Facebook livestream, Randy Heard burned his season tickets after Colts players kneeled during the national anthem on Sunday.
Heard, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, said he’s always been a fan of the NFL but won’t tolerate the protesting.
“I served my country, my grandfather served my country, both of them served in WWII,” Heard said right before burning the tickets. “There’s a lot of people that fought and died for that flag and to be disrespected yesterday like we did, I’m done.”
The caption of his post said: “I support the flag and am so grateful for the people that gave their lives for it!”
Heard said he thought about selling the tickets but ultimately decided to burn them.
Heard posted the video to his Facebook page Monday morning. As of around Wednesday at noon, the video has been viewed 114,000 thousand times and shared nearly 3,000 times. A majority of comments left on the video supported Heard’s decision.
Numerous NFL players took a knee Sunday after President Donald Trump called for NFL team owners to fire players who kneel during the national anthem.
