On Wednesday, a shooter opened fire on Republican congressmen at the GOP’s baseball practice.
During the shooting, five were injured, including Majority Whip Steve Scalise — thankfully, no one was killed.
First lady Melania Trump thanked first responders, who prevented a full-blown “massacre” according to Sen. Rand Paul, who noted many would have died if it weren’t the Capitol Police’s quick action.
“Thank you to the first responders who rushed in to help protect those who were hurt in Alexandria, VA. My thoughts & prayers to everyone!”
