President Donald Trump’s White House had a major shakeup — Michael Dubke, the WH Communications Director resigned without any previous warning.
Dubke resigned just one day after President Trump embarked on his first overseas trip last week, but he kept his departure secret until this Tuesday morning. Since hiss official leave date has not been set yet, Dubke is still working at the White House despite handing in his resignation.
“It has been my great honor to serve President Trump and this administration,” said Dubke in an email to the press. “It has also been my distinct pleasure to work side-by-side, day-by-day with the staff of the communications and press departments.”
Mike Dubke first joined President Trump’s White House team just a few weeks into the administration, with the goal of picking up some of the load and pressure of Press Secretary Sean Spicer, but unfortunately, his resignation came just 3 months after he accepted the job as the co-pilot of the WH press and communications shop.
