Liberals Flip After Trump Urges Penalty For Flag-Burners… But Look What Hillary Said In 2005

Flag-burning is possibly one of the most disgraceful acts in America.

Early Tuesday, President-Elect Donald Trump simply said that “consequences” are needed for those who participate in such a degrading act.

And now, like most times, the liberal left is going stark-raving mad.

But they don’t remember that Hillary Clinton wanted the exact same thing in 2005, in which she co-sponsored the bill entitled “Flag Protection Act of 2005.”

The bill says the perpetrator of the flag-burning could get up to a $100,000 fine, 1 year in prison, or both.

“Any person who destroys or damages a flag of the United States with the primary purpose and intent to incite or produce imminent violence or a breach of the peace, and under circumstances in which the person knows that it is reasonably likely to produce imminent violence or a breach of the peace, shall be fined not more than $100,000, imprisoned not more than 1 year, or both,” S. 1911 reads.

The hypocrisy of the left is absolutely astounding. Trump says “consequences” and Clinton says “a year in prison and/or a $100,000 fine.”
