Morale within the ranks of the Unites States military is reaching all-time highs, thanks to the bold leadership of Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump. Our troops once again able to do the jobs that they trained for their entire military careers.
Whether you agree with Trump’s decision to strike Syria or not, the commanders of the Naval destroyers who followed orders and did their jobs with laser-like precision just received a phone call they’ll likely never forget.
Washington Times reports:
President Trump personally thanked the officers and crew of the USS Porter and USS Ross, the two American warships that bombed the Syrian airfield allegedly housing portions of the country’s chemical weapon stockpiles, for last week’s successful strike.
In a Sunday call to Cmdrs. Andria Slough and Russell Caldwell, the skippers of the USS Porter and Ross, respectively, Mr. Trump praises the “speed, precision and effectiveness” in which the sailors aboard the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers carried out their mission, a White House readout of Sunday’s call said.
Mr. Trump “could not be more proud of [their] crews… and their flawless execution of the operation,” according to the White House.
The U.S. warships fired launched 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles early Friday morning into the Alawite-dominated region of western Syria, in response to the chemical strike.
The strike was in retaliation for a chemical strike, launched by forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Assad, against the rebel stronghold of Idlib province and that left over 70 dead, including 11 children.
