Rachel Maddow’s MSNBC show hit the gutter after providing evidence that President Trump paid $38 million in taxes in 2005.
She went down 36% overall during the next night’s broadcast — and it’s stayed there ever since.
Initially, she tweeted that she had “Trump’s tax returns,” but ended up disappointing millions as they found out that she dismantled one of the left’s only narratives against Trump. She also admitted that she only had two pages of his 1040 form on the show.
Free Beacon reports:
Journalists and critics of Trump were unhappy with Maddow for promoting the story in the manner she did, which many felt was a letdown because it did not show any damaging information about the president.
It appears those feelings translated into depressed viewership numbers.
The following night, Wednesday, Maddow’s ratings were down 36 percent overall from Tuesday, and in the key 25- to 54-year-old demographic, her ratings were down 54 percent, Fox News reports.
