President Trump has been hammering out extremely good executive orders over the past couple days.
On Tuesday, he signed five more executive actions speeding up the approval of massive American energy projects like the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines.
However, there is one incredible action within the executive order that stands out.
Trump is requiring that the steel used in the construction of the pipelines be made right here in the United States.
“Going to put a lot of workers, a lot of steelworkers, back to work,” he said briefly when signing the orders from the Oval Office.
As for the Keystone Pipeline, which juts into Canada, Trump made clear that the assembly isn’t yet a done deal. “It’s something that subject to a renegotiation of terms by us,” he said. “We’ll see if we can get the pipeline built. A lot of jobs, 28,000 jobs.”
Collectively, these executive orders equate to an absolutely brilliant move.
Instead of just creating jobs for those who construct the 1,172 mile long pipeline, jobs will also be created because Americans will now be manufacturing Keystone XL pipeline beforehand.
