During the first months of his tenure in office, President Trump stayed at what he deemed to be the “Southern White House” — Mar-a-Lago.
He then began staying at the White House more frequently — and now, after a quick change of plans, he’s going to be spending the weekend with his family at Camp David.
This will be the first time since the start of his presidency that he’ll visit the Maryland retreat. The Washington Examiner reports:
Stephanie Grisham, the director of communications for first lady Melania Trump, revealed the visit in a tweet Friday night. The family will stay at Camp David through Father’s Day on Sunday.
THIS WEEKEND: The 1st family heads to Camp David. Hoping everyone has a wonderful weekend. 🇺🇸

Both the National Park Service and Federal Aviation Administration issued restricted movement updates on their websites while the Trumps are at the resort near Thurmont, Md.
Before this weekend, the president had spent several weekend excursions at properties he owns, including the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., and Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
