JUST IN: Bill O’Reilly Lands New Job

Bill O’Reilly, the former Fox News powerhouse, has landed a new gig.

He’s teaming up with his fellow ex-network colleague and current head of The Blaze Glenn Beck for a weekly spot on Beck’s radio show.

Free Beacon reports:

O’Reilly appeared Friday on the broadcast with Beck, who extended an invitation to the recently ousted television host to join The Blaze.

“I would like you to work for The Blaze,” Beck told O’Reilly. “I could not get the cable coverage by myself because I’m not powerful enough, unless you have a giant corporation behind you.”

“If we could unite our powers for good, as opposed to evil–but that’s another conversation,” Beck added.

O’Reilly indicated Monday that he would accept Beck’s offer.

“We’re going to do that every Friday until Beck gets tired of me,” O’Reilly said on his “No Spin News” podcast. “And it’s a good outlet for me to, you know, discuss things back and forth with Beck, who’s a good friend. We don’t agree on everything, but it’s very lively.”

O’Reilly and Beck, who are friends, both faced controversy and fleeing advertisers before leaving Fox News. Beck’s show ended in 2011 after businesses, apparently unhappy with his controversial rhetoric, pulled their ads from his show. The network last month parted ways with O’Reilly, who hosted the top-rated program “The O’Reilly Factor,” amid a flurry of sexual harassment allegations.

Beck said last week that O’Reilly had reached out to him shortly after being fired, according to the Hill.

“I just got an email from Bill a little while ago that said he’s on his way home–he’s been on vacation; he’s been in Italy, and so he’s on his way home,” Beck said Wednesday, adding that he finds the sexual harassment accusations brought against O’Reilly “hard to believe.”

“He had access [at Fox] to very beautiful women,” Beck said. “We never saw him utter a word that was even blue humor. He was so buttoned up when he was around us, I find these charges hard to believe.”
