Ivanka Trump is championing women’s rights in countries where women are genuinely oppressed — like most of the Middle East.
And today, a milestone was achieved.
Using her charm, persuasion, and common-sense, Ivanka managed to get Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to donate a whopping $100 million to further progress for women in the Middle East.
On Sunday, during an event with Ivanka Trump and White House adviser Jared Kushner, it was announced that Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates have pledged $100 million collectively toward a fund for women who want to start their own business. The funding is going to help women initiate and run successful businesses by easing their access to finance, markets, and networks.
Mrs. Trump is scheduled to hold a discussion on Sunday with Saudi women, including civil society leaders, businesswomen and elected government officials, to hear experiences and discuss opportunities for women’s economic empowerment, announced the White House in a statement.
