The Secret Service has had a busy week.
Earlier, they dealt with several fence-jumpers and now they are having to completely close the White House due to questionable package.
The Hill reports:
The Secret Service placed the White House on lockdown Tuesday due to a suspicious package.
“@SecretService investigating suspicious package near @WhiteHouse grounds. Road closures in effect,” the agency tweeted.
Roads around the White House were closed off and staff and media members were blocked from entering the complex.
The lockdown comes after a series of security breaches, including a man who allegedly jumped the fence earlier this month. The man reportedly spent around 15 minutes on the White House grounds before being apprehended.
Another woman was arrested last week on her third attempt to hop over the fence.
