Just fantastic — another company has officially shown Second Amendment advocates where not to shop.
Levi’s CEO and President Chip Bergh wrote “An Open Letter to Customers: Our Weapons Policy” on LinkedIn, detailing his request that people who shop at his stores refrain from bringing their firearm.
“So, while we understand the heartfelt and strongly-held opinions on both sides of the gun debate, it is with the safety and security of our employees and customers in mind that we respectfully ask people not to bring firearms into our stores, offices or facilities, even in states where it’s permitted by law. Of course, authorized members of law enforcement are an exception,” Bergh wrote.
So, when an emergency strikes, you have to call the cops, wait 15 minutes for them to arrive, and let the good guys with guns can come shoot the bad guy — if the damage hadn’t already been done or when you could have just done it yourself.
“You don’t need a gun to try on a pair of jeans,” Bergh wrote.
Well, the three people gunned down at a Macy’s retail store in September by a lunatic probably wish they had a gun. The bad guys don’t follow the laws — which is why gun-free zones are perfect for criminals with firearms.
