They say pride comes before the fall — and that’s exactly what happened to Hillary Clinton’s biggest advocate, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
The Daily Caller reports:
The governor of New York was so eager to celebrate his close friend’s win that he booked 200 rooms for his “family, friends and supporters of his possible future bid for the presidency” at the Loews Madison hotel in downtown D.C.
“A little overconfident,” one Republican insider said with a snicker.
But it gets even better.
Cuomo was forced to call New York Republican Party Chairman Ed Cox, and offer him every room he reserved for the inauguration.
“The best part is Cuomo booked so early, he locked in a really low rate,” an insider said. “Rooms in DC are a hot commodity right now.”
