Jeb Bush, after an awkwardly short presidential campaign, heads back home to work — at a corporate lobbying firm.
Newsmax reports that Bush is all geared up to be a “strategic consultant” at the Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney lobbying firm in Tallahassee, Florida.
“I believe that putting my knowledge and experience together with Buchanan’s professional acumen will help Buchanan’s clients grow and prosper,” Bush said in a statement.
Not ironically, many of the top dogs at the firm are long-time friends of those in the Bush family’s inner circle.
“Those of us who have had the pleasure of working with the Governor in the past now have the opportunity to do so again, and those who haven’t can look forward to a truly rewarding experience,” John McKager Stipanovich, chair of Buchanan’s Florida government relations department, said in a statement.
This is what was meant to happen all along — Donald Trump is elected president and Jeb Bush becomes an employee at a lobbying firm.
